Real VS Fake Nature Republic Soothing and Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

With the popularity of the Nature Republic Aloe Vera gel, there are definitely fake ones out there. Even though I'm not an expert, but before I bought mine, I did sooooo much research beforehand. Before you guys read this I want to say, not all of this is mine own, what I did is go through many Chinese articles, and I translate them, so more people could know if they bought the real Aloe Vera gel.

Before you even open the product check the opening lines on the side of the plastic package. The real one is almost twice as wide as the fake ones.

The real gel has shinning water marks on the top, which are made in detail, and when you glide your hands over them, you can feel the bumps of where the water marks are.

The real gel has many small air bubbles in between the gel. When you shake the bottle you can hear the "texture", the fake ones sounds very different.

On the back under the scanning bar code the number should start with 880, if it does not start with 880, it means that the product was not made in Korea. The first 8 should be bold, also the website on the left should end in .com.

The print in English on the fourth line on the back should be the same as the Korean letters for the first three lines, they should be bold.

There should be  made date printed on the back, it should be printed on top of the other writings. There should be 2 Korean letters at the very end of the date. Those two Korean letters should be slightly narrower than the numbers.

After you apply on the hands it should be absorbed by the skin in 10 mins (of course it depends on how much you apply). The real gel looks very clear, it has the clarity of water, and the smell should be a fresh aloe smell. The fake ones smells too strong, and you can clearly smell the alcohol. When you apply the fake one of the skin it takes longer to absorb, after it dries if you wash it the texture is very slimy. The texture of the gel itself is sticky.

In most cases (NOT always, because of shipping reasons) the very first time you open the cap to the gel, you have to take the plastic film off to get to the actual product. But the second time you open the product the plastic film should stick to the cap, and you would have to peal the plastic off the cap.

Also on the plastic film the name NATURE REPUBLIC on it.

Hope this was helpful to all of you.
Thanks for reading.

  3. hii there! my aloe hasnt been working for awhile now and this is my second container. it leaves a slimy, rough feeling when it stars to aborbs and when it dries up, no more soft face :( however, everything is there is presented as the real one excluding the plastic covering inside the container. its thiner than the first one i had so i was very confused as to why that was.

  16. Hello sis, I got my Nature republic aloe from Althea, and its a trusted shop for all things Korean, so I can say with 99% certainty that my tub is authentic. From what I saw of your pics of the one you bought, its kinda different from mine. Dunno what it means, though. Now I'm just confused as to what is authentic and what is not.

  23. Hey guys. I'm an aloe vera user here for such a long time now. basically you will feel your skin so soft after you apply aloe gel. all the description details are given above. so if you think your gel are not the same as what mentioned above then it's a fake aloe gel..

  24. Hi, I bought Nature Republic 92% Aloe Vera Soothing Gel from an online shop. It is smaller than the original NR Aloe Vera Soothing Gel but it has the embossed "Nature Republic" on the bottom and lid portion. The barcode also starts with 880. There is also korean characters the same as above on the expiration date. It has also the shining watermark on the top. What is peculiar about the product that I bought is that the tub is darker than the original NR Soothing Gel and it has different smell. It does not smell harsh or alcohol-like. When applied, it is easily absorbed by the skin. Is it an original one or fake one?

  25. How about mine? I have a aloe vera gel 100 is it fake?
